Matthias St\u00f6\u00dfel studied physics with a focus on lasers and physical chemistry at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universit\u00e4t Heidelberg. <\/p>


<\/span><\/p>

He graduated with a Diploma (focus on laser cooling, laser technology and spectroscopy) at the Max-Planck-Institute for Nuclear Physics, before obtaining a PhD in material sciences (focus on organic light-emitting devices and materials for electronics) at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universit\u00e4t Erlangen-N\u00fcrnberg. <\/span><\/p>


<\/span><\/p>

He further studied medical physics at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. He graduated with a master thesis on European patents relating to inventions involving artificial intelligence in the field of medical technology. <\/span><\/p>


<\/span><\/p>

He also successfully passed the CEIPI Course on Patent Litigation in Europe at the University of Strasbourg (DESU). <\/span><\/p>

Dr. St\u00f6\u00dfel has several years of experience as a research and development engineer and as a research team leader in industrial research (focus on organic optoelectronics and polymer technology) in Germany and San Jose, CA, USA. <\/p>


<\/p>

He started his career in the field of intellectual property in 2003. His areas of expertise include in particular the prosecution, defence, licensing and enforcement of inventions in physics, engineering and materials sciences, mainly in the fields of medical technology, sensor technology and analytics.<\/p>
