Alexander Dick
Alexander Dick studied human biology at the Philipps University in Marburg graduating with a Diploma from the Max Planck-Institute for Physiological and Clinical Research in Bad Nauheim. Thereafter, he obtained a doctorate degree in molecular biology focusing on developmental molecular biology and genetics at the Max-Planck-Institute for immunobiology in Freiburg. Dr. Dick began his career in the field of intellectual property in 2000.
His areas of expertise include prosecution, defence, licensing and enforcement of inventions in all fields of biotechnology including green biotechnology, pharma, diagnostics and life sciences. He is involved on a regular basis in establishing general patent strategies, due diligences and freedom to operate analyses, and in patent related work for mergers and acquisitions. Dr. Dick regularly contributes to seminars on patent law on a regular basis at the Centre for Science Management at the German University of Administrative Sciences, Speyer.
Dr. Dick is a member of the Biotechnology Committee of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR) and a member of the Committee for Biotechnology of the German Patent Attorney’s Bar Association.
